    1    Sami Jo Small - Goaltender
Born: March 25, 1976

    Sami Jo has played with the Aeros-Chiefs organization since 2002. Before that she played for the Brampton Thunder of the NWHL from 1999-2001. She has won three National Championships (2008, 2007, 2004) and two League Championships with the Aeros-Chiefs Organization.
Sami Jo is also a 3 time Olympian (2006, 2002, 1998) winning a gold medal in 2002 and 2006. She is a 5 time World Champion with Team Canada (1999, 2000, 2001, 2004, 2007) and was twice named Championship MVP. Sami Jo played for Manitoba at the 1991 Canada Games.
Sami Jo is a founding member of the CWHL and currently sits as the Vice-Chairman of the board of directors and is the chair of the sponsorship committee. She also runs the Sami Jo Small Female Hockey School and works as a professional speaker. Sami Jo is engaged to Billy Bridges of the Canadian Men's Sledge Hockey Team.

31- Shelley Payne - Goalie

This is Shelley's first season with the Chiefs organization. Prior to playing for the Chiefs, Shelley played four years for Colby College in Waterville, Maine. In her senior season with the Mules, Shelley earned St. Michael's Tournament MVP honors and NESCAC player of the week honors. The Mules made the play-offs in all four of her seaons and recorded a program recond 2nd place NESCAC confernce finish her junior year. Shelley played her high school hockey at the Loomis Chaffee School in Windsor, CT, where she was also a captain of the cross country team. Shelley graduated from Colby College in May of 2009 with distinction in her major; she was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa her senior year.

Angela joined the Aeros-Chiefs organization for the 2008-2009 season after graduating university. Angela attended Concordia University where she completed a double major in Communication Studies and Human Relations, and  minor in Marketing, while at the same time playing for The Concordia Stingers Varsity Womens Hockey Team. Angela currenly sits on the Marketing Committee for the CWHL

Heather has been a member of the Senior Aero-Chiefs organization since 1998. Prior to that she played with the Aeros Junior organization after moving from Sault Ste Marie, ON to Toronto for when she was 16 to attend Bishop Strachan School on a sports scholarship. She is a four time National Champion (2000, 2004, 2005, 2008) and 5 time NWHL/CWHL Champion (1999. 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005).
 
Heather has played on 4 National Under-22 teams captaining the team in the 2003-2004 season winning Gold in The European Cup 4 years in a row and being named MVP of the tournament in 2004. Logan has been a member of Canada's National Team program from 1999-2006. Heather also participated with Team Ontario at the 1999 Canada Games winning a gold medal.

Heather's most recent venture has been into competitive cycling. A recent new comer to the sport, Heather has quickly climbed the ladder signing last year with a pro cylcing team based in California and participating this past summer with Canada's National Team on the World Cup Tour. 
 
24 Amber Bowman - Defense

Amber joined the Aeros-Chiefs organization for the 2002-2003 season as a member of the Jr. Aeros. She has recently played for the Sr Chiefs since the 2007-2008 season after attending The Ohio State University for 4 years. She was a member of the National Championship winning Misssissauga Chiefs in 2008 helping the Chiefs win in overtime against Brampton Thunder.
At Ohio State, Amber was a Two-year captain. She was named captain of 2006-07 team, and co-captain of 2005-06 team with Jana Harrigan. Amber was ranked third all-time in Ohio State defenseman with 64 points (20g, 44a) heading into her Junior year. She was named to First Team All-WCHA (2005-06), two-time WCHA All-Academic Team (2004-05, 2005-06),two-time Academic All-Big Ten at-large selection (2004-05, 2005-06), three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete (2003-04, 2004-05, 2005-06) and was selected to the 2005 WCHA All-Star Team that competed against the U.S. National Team.



    27     Kristy Zamora  - Forward

Krisy has been a member of the Chiefs since the 2008-2009 season. She previously played with the Burlington Barracudas for the 2007-2008 season alongside her sister Kelly and previous to that played for the Brampton Thunder from 2002-2007 helping the Thunder win the 2007 league championship and 2006 National Championship where she earned final game MVP honours. Condidered one of the best power-forwards in the game, Kristy lead her Brown University team to a runner-up position at the NCAA Championship while earning the NCAA Championship MVP and All-American honours.
Zamora was part of the National Team program from 2002-2005 attending various camps. She also is a star in softball where she played for years for the Brown University Bears and just recently participated in a National Championship with her club team from Port Perry, ON.



  33    Ashley Stephenson - Defense

Ashley joined the Aeros-Chiefs organization for the 2005-2006 season. She played the previous season for the Brampton Thunder while still at school at Laurier University. She was a member of the National Championship winning Misssissauga Chiefs in 2008 helping the Chiefs win in overtime versus her old team the Brampton Thunder. Ashley has been a member of the National Team program attending camps during the 2005-2007 seasons. 
Ashley was a star for the Laurier Golden Hawks leading her team as the captain to a CIS National Champion in her final year in 2005 earning 4 OUA all-star selections and 2 all-Canadian honours. She graduated with a degree in kinesiology and physical education and geography.
Ashely Stephenson is also a star on the baseball field. Considered one of the best female baseball players in the world she led Team Canada to a 4-Nations Cup Championship in 2009. She been part of the National team since 2003 winning a silver and two bronze medals at the World Championships earning MVP honours with baseball Canada in 2005 and 2008. Ashley currenly sits on the Hockey Operations committee for the CWHL. 

    44     Sommer West  - Forward

Sommer is currently the longest serving member of the Aero-Chiefs organization joining the Senior team in 1996 after starting with the Aeros junior organization in 1992. She has served as captain in 2005. Sommer has won 4 National Championships (2000, 2004, 2005, 2008) and 5 NWHL/CWHL Championships (1999. 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005). She was name NWHL MVP in 2005 after leading her Aeros team to an overtime victory in the Championship game with goals including the game winner.
Sommer West was a member of the National Women's Hockey Team program since 1995 and has participated on the first National Under-22 Team in 1999. She also participated with the National Senior Team in two Four-Nations Cups (1998, 1999)  and the TSN Challenge in 2001. She attended the Fall Festival evaluation camp from 1998-2007.  
Sommer is also a star on the softball diamond having just recently won a National Softball Championship with the Kitchener Krush in 2009. She participated in the 2000 Olympic Games with Team Canada as well as the 2001 World Championships. Sommer was born in Houston, TX while her Dad was a member of the Houston Aeros of the WHA. He also played for the Winnipeg Jets.

Lara has been a member of the Senior Aero-Chiefs organization since 1998. Prior to that she played with the Aeros Junior organization after moving from Trenton, ON to Toronto for her final year of high school. She is a three time National Champion (2000, 2004, 2005) and 5 time NWHL/CWHL Champion (1999. 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005). She unfortunately had to miss the entire 2008 season due to a concussion, but came back last year to record one of her best seasons to date.
Lara has played on 5 National Under-22 teams and has been a member of Canada's National Team program from 1999-2008. She also won a four Nations Cup in Kitcher as a member of Canada's Senior Team roster in 2003.
Lara has her real estate licence and is currently in Police Academy full time in Aylmer, ON. Her time with the Chiefs this season will be limited until she finishes her studies in late December.
